This year the entire 1st Elgin Scouting group headed out to E.M Warwick for our 1st All Sections winter camp.  Hiking, Geocaching, Pop Can Stoves, Camp Fires, Games, Movies and more kept our entire group very busy over the weekend

Blindfolded Tent Setup Challenge

Our Explorers took on the blindfolded tent challenge this past week.  Working in patrols, only one member of the patrol could see, while the rest were blindfolded. The non-blindfolded explorer could give instructions, but not touch any of the gear or other patrol members.  And 14 minutes later, a tent was set up!

Geocaching Hike & Campfire at Dan Pattersons

What a fantastic way to spend a fall night. The 1st Elgin BPSA Scouting group (Otters, Timber Wolves, Explorers & Sr. Explorers) spent the evening at Dan Pattersons Conservation Area.  The hike sent them finding geocaches, each cache with a Scouting theme or challenge(Knott tying, Compass Barrings, even singing).  When the hike was over, we …
